The closest airport to Elizabeth City is the Norfolk International Airport (ORF) in Norfolk, VA. That is roughly 40 miles away. The Newport News, VA airport (PHF) is about 60 miles away.
If you are flying, you might also want to check into renting a car. If there are several of you flying in at the same time, maybe you can go together and share the expense of the rental. We may be able to pick some of you up at the airport, so let us know what your ETA will be.
Bob and Deb are flying in and out of Richmond. It is a longer drive, but offers more choices in flights. Bob said something about the only flight to Minnesota out of Norfolk on the Sunday after the wedding was at 5 a.m. So, you may want to check out a couple other airports in the vicinity.
